10 lyrics I love from the Graceland Record

"These are the days of lasers in the jungle, lasers in a jungle somewhere."

"The way she brushed her hair from her forehead"

"What does that mean I really remind you of money? Who am I to blow against the wind?"

"Hey, senorita"

"By the bodegas and the lights on upper broadway."

"Rolly polly little bat faced girl"

"mmmm bop"

"Emaweni webaba"

"Sad as a lonely little wrinkled baloon"

"Losing love is like a window in your heart"

The 5th Annual Birthday Bash: Performing Paul Simon's Graceland Album and a Set of Original Music.
January 19th.  Tickets on sale Saturday Nov 19th

Hello, that is me in the 8th grade.  I learned three songs in the jazz ensemble that year:  'Graceland' 'Under African Skies' and 'You Can Call Me Al' by Paul Simon.  12 years later, I learned another song.  Fellow songwriters and I got absurdly ambitious and learned "Diamonds On The Soles of Her Shoes" minutes before a show.  I'm not sure how we pulled it off, but it worked, really well!

Drawing a bit of inspriration from Boulder based Rose Hill Drive (a great band who has done full albums tributes each year), I decided to include Paul SImon's Graceland album into this year's Birthday Bash!

This is going to be a hell of a lot of fun!:)

I've been plotting and scheming arrangements for these songs for the past six months. Can't tell you how excited I am. Expect our own twists, many special guests, the full band and a set of original music!

Tickets go on sale November 12th. I have very few limited pre-sale tickets left (NO FEES!).
